All applications for membership are first reviewed by the organization’s Membership Committee and then forwarded to the Board of Directors.
There will be two classes of membership; namely, (1) member (voting) and (2) associate member (non-voting). Members must own property in the Town of South Padre Island but associate members may or may not own property in the Town of South Padre Island.
For purposes of membership, a husband and wife are considered a single member/associate member.
Dues Structure
Member – $500 (must own property in the Town of South Padre Island)
Associate Member – $50 Individual Membership (may or may not own property in the Town of South Padre Island)
Association Membership - $250 (must be an association whose members include individuals who own property in the Town of South Padre Island)
Additional dues will be paid on an “assessment” basis – i.e., only when additional funds are needed. When assessments are made, they will be in increments of 20% of the initial dues payment (i.e., $100 for a member and $10 for an individual associate member and $50 for an association associate member).
For purposes of membership, a married couple is considered a single member/associate member.
